Snoozefest of a game last night - detroit always plays Vancouver tough. I would much rather lost to Detroit than lose to Toronto on Saturday! My wife is a huge Leafs fan so Saturday could get a bit testy!

My thoughts exactly. I was interested in Downie years ago when the Avs got him in that 3 way deal that saw them send Kyle Quincy to DET. Avs have been 22-9-5 with him in the lineup over the past 3 seasons. He can be reckless but not like Raffi Torres. He's a winner and can play on various lines.

If he doesn't re-sign with PHI before the summer, we should nab him if it's not for silly money.
